Day 1 - Wilderness Immersion

Day 1: Escape to the Wilderness
Leave the noise of the city behind as we board a scenic boat ride into the majestic Nuuk fjord. Arriving at the trailhead, we begin our trek carrying all we need, immersing ourselves in nature’s calm. Hike through rugged terrain, along side fjords  and towering mountains, surrounded by the vast silence of Greenland’s backcountry. We set up camp in a secluded spot where you can unwind, share a hearty meal around the fire, and fall asleep under the open Arctic sky,or inside your cozy tent if you prefer.

Day 2 - Exploration

Day 2: Summit Kangilia and Explore

Rise early to prepare for the day’s most exhilarating challenge,a climb to the summit of Kangilia at 750 meters. As you ascend, take in spectacular panoramic views of fjords, glaciers, and Greenland’s wild landscapes stretching into the horizon. After the summit experience, we descend through varied terrain, heightening your connection to this breathtaking environment. Set camp once again in a pristine location, where your guide shares vital wilderness skills and stories of the land. The evening offers moments of quiet reflection by the fire and the chance to gaze into an endless sky.

Day 3 - Return through Untamed Beauty

Day 3: Return through Untamed Beauty

After breakfast, pack up camp and begin the trek back towards the fjord. The return trail offers new perspectives of the mountains and valleys you traversed, with opportunities to spot Arctic wildlife and appreciate nature’s raw beauty one last time, newly honed skills, and a rare experience of Greenland’s remote wilderness pace.

Where and what time do we meet?

We meet at The Tide Stairs at 9.30.

How do I get to the meeting point?

You can either take bus nr. 2 to Qatserisut bus stop, and walk down to The Tide Stair by the harbour, or take a taxi to The Tide Stair.

Is there water?

Yes, there is meltwater from the glacier we have access to.

Is there electricity or a possibility to charge electronic devices?

No. We suggest to bring your own solar panels or power banks.

Do I need to bring own cutlery?

No, we’ve got you covered.

Yes, we have a simple camp toilet and high quality toilet paper.

Is there phone reception?

There is no phone reception, only if you hike more than an hour up the mountain.

Can I bring and drink alcohol on the trip?

Yes, you are allowed to. Please for safety, drink responsibly and respect the rest of the group.

What happens if it’s bad weather?

We keep an eye on forecasts, and will inform the guests in time.
