Climb and Summit Ukkusissaq with our experienced mountain guides and get rewarded with an amazing 360 degree view!
Experience Nuuk from above
In the backdrop of our capital stands a noticeable mountain, Ukkusissaq, with a height of 761 M. A popular mountain for local hikers, but still demanding where local knowledge and experience is needed for a safe hike to Summit Ukkusissaq.
Conquer and Summit Ukkusissaq
This is a trip for the ones who are ready for a bit more adventure. We start by following a dirt road, neighboring a boisterous river to the spectacular lake Cirkus. Lake Cirkus is circumscribed by a crater of mountains, with luscious mountain sides. We will hike along the shores of the lake and find our way to the path that will take us up to the mountaintop.
A True Greenlandic Mountain Experience
On this 5 hour hike with us, you will get the true feeling of summiting a proper mountain as you can stand on the very top, able to look 360 degrees around the fjord, mountains and sea. You will realize how vast the backcountry of Nuuk is, and get a feeling of the enormous distances here. You will also be able to see every part of the capitol from above. Absolutely stunning views!
Seasonal Adventures
On a summer trip you will move faster, so a little detour might be possible for some hidden gems. And on a winter trip it will be with snowshoes and crampons, making it a little more adventurous.
Local guide(s)
You will be guided by local guides. We believe that local guides are the key to unlocking the true essence of a destination. The deep-rooted understanding of the terrain, culture, and hidden gems allow us to curate an unforgettable journey that go beyond the ordinary. They will give you the opportunity to explore the wonders of Greenland, in a way that few have the privilege to do.
